Tormented Focus Question - Guild Wars Forums

I know that the Tormented Focus you get from the Deacon has a Focus Core of Fortitude mod. I was wondering if the Tormented Focus allows for that mod to be changed, for instance to a Focus Core of Aptitude mod. Thanks.
